Shell Eco Press Lunch held in Kiev

The racing car made by the students of  KhNAHU traveled 570 km and consumed 1 liter of gasoline. The participants of the international competition of innovations «Shell Eco-marathon» were awarded on 19th of May in Kiev.





The representative of the national project "Ukrainian Book of Records" Igor Pidchiby awarded a diploma to the captain of the Ukrainian team "LSA-Khadi-Honda» Alexandr Chernyshov. The team of Kharkiv Automobile and Highway University designed a unique car, which traveled 570 kilometers and spent just one liter of gasoline when taking part in competition in Eastern Germany. The motor car was developed and tested by 9 students during the competition in Eastern Germany.
 The Ukrainian team took part in «Shell Eco-marathon», which takes place annually, for the first time this year. The preparation for participation in the competition took 3 years and the construction of the motor car - 1 year. Despite the fact that the team did not win the tournament in Germany, the experience it gained is valuable for the country.



"This is the first starting point. Our experience has laid the foundation, and will encourage other universities of the country ", - said Alexandr Chernyshov. According to him, for Ukraine, even such a seemingly insignificant achievement is a record in the field of energy saving and energy efficiency increase.
