Shell Eco Press Lunch held in Kiev

The racing car made by the students of  KhNAHU traveled 570 km and consumed 1 liter of gasoline. The participants of the international competition of innovations «Shell Eco-marathon» were awarded on 19^th of May in Kiev.

A presentation of "Khadi 34" took place in Kiev

The presentation of “Khadi 34” motor car, the first vehicle to represent Ukraine at the Shell Eco-marathon - the annual international competition for energy efficiency increase, occurred in Kiev.

The result of a year’s work is an engineering solution based on the gasoline engine Honda GX35. The motor car weighs 43 kg and can accommodate one occupant.

We started making the car!

In January 2009, an international publishing holding «New Frontier Media Group» which releases a magazine «Business Ukraine» provided funds necessary to build the car. Since that time, students and lyceum students of our university, engaged in the LSA, started making car for participation in «Shell Eco-marathon».
The New Frontier Media Group (NFMG) is a company based in Kiev, and engaged in media activities in developing markets. It unites investors and heads of media corporations in the U.S., UK and Eastern Europe.

Business Ukraine is the first Ukrainian weekly, published in English. The first issue appeared in March 2007. Currently, the circulation constitutes 18 thousand copies, which are distributed in prestigious entertainment and business establishments of Kiev and other Ukrainian cities as well as on boards of international flights.

Aerodinamic research of the eco-car

When your target is to create the car with minimum fuel consumption you must to minimize all running resistance force of the car.

We started from wind drag because outside appearance of the car depends on it.

International trade fair of energy generation - POWER AND ENERGY 2007

The 6th specialized trade fair of energy generation, transmission and distribution. Alternative sources of energy and energy saving technologies was held in Kiev on November 6^th – 9^th.

The organizers of the event were Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry of Ukraine and ACCO International company.

LSA KHADI staff presented a project of car for participation in Shell Eco-Marathon

Employers of Laboratory of Speed Automobiles presented a project of first Ukranian eco-car for participation in Shell eco-marathon.

It is a good tradition of Laboratory of Speed Automobiles (LSA) to choose the focus area of the work according to  the preferences of students who's working in it.

Ukrainian national decorations for car

The idea to create a special eco-car to participate in fuel efficiency competition is a brand new for Ukraine. Our team is the first who decided to make this in the country . we realized that it would be a big responsibility to represent not only our university but also our city - Kharkiv and our country – Ukraine at the international competition.

There was a lot of discussion how we can decorate thecar. Finally we found a perfect solution - to print a national decorative pattern 'vishivanka' on body of the car.

Ministry of Education Stanislav Nikolaenko visited LSA

The main landmark of Kharkiv National Automobile and Highway University (KhNAHU) is a Laboratory of Speed Automobiles (LSA) that created more than 30 models of speed cars. These cars got a 42 land speed records, 16 of which are higher than international  achievements. Unfortunately, majority of these unique speed cars have not lastedtill our time. Those who survived has been collected in LSA museum. We have a good tradition in KhNAHU to show this museum to all guests of the University.
